Signing Up

1.  First go to Spruz.com (link will open in a new window). You will be taken instantly to the free website signup page. You will need to enter a valid email address and and choose a user name. Click the "check availability" button to see if your chosen name is available. If it is, you may choose a password, enter your first and last name, date of birth and agree to terms of service. Then click the "Continue" button. You will be sent a confirmation email in which you will need to click on the confirmation link. When you click the link in your email, you will be taken to a page that thanks you for registering, then click the "Click here to continue" link.

2.  It is now you begin to see how diverse Spruz.com really is. You may choose to build a free blog website, a personal website, business website, a gaming website and more. For the purpose of this tutorial, I will choose a personal website. Once you get familiar with the interface, you may choose to build a different type of free website. So for now, click on the "Make a Personal Website" button. You will then be able to choose a domain name for your free website. Choose either a free subdomain name or if you want a "real" domain name, you could purchase one now. Click the "Check Domain and Continue" button. If the name you have chosen is unavailable, you will get a popup alert that you need to choose a different domain name.

3.  Once you find an available domain name, you will be taken to a page where you will choose the category of your free website. Also enter a name of your site (you can always change this later). Click the "Create My Site" button. Your free website then will be set up and on the next page, you will see your title and you can enter a description and tags (keywords) to help your site get found by search engines like Google. You will then choose the style of template you want to use by choosing either a blog, gaming or social website. For this tutorial, I will chose "Social Website". Click the "Continue" button. Then enter a general topic of your free web site and click the "Save & Complete" button.

4.  You will then choose a color theme for your free site. Just click on your desired color to continue. You will then be taken to your site's administration page. This is just a rough idea of what your site looks like, with the ability to edit any section by clicking the "Add & Edit Features" link, or by clicking the edit icon in the top right of a module. You can also change the overall look by clicking the "Change Your Site Design" link. That is also how you add or edit pages and access your file manager.

5.  There are so many tutorials and options to build your free website, your best bet at this point is to explore the training and tutorials by clicking on the "Manage Site" link at the top right of the page. Here you will have access to forums, questions and answers and some audio tutorials. As you can see, your options are almost unlimited with the Spruz.com free website builder.
