Cabanova.com is the only free website provider that I know of that offers free flash websites.  The coolest websites are out there are flash websites, with animated pages and moving images.  Follow my step- by-step instructions below to get your own totally free flash website.

Signing Up

     To sign up, CLICK HERE, it will open in a new window so you can continue reading this tutorial.  In the middle of the page you will see 3 columns, FREE, POWER and PREMIUM.  Under the left FREE column at the bottom click the "Sign Up" button.  You will then choose your login name and password.  Fill out the info and click the "Continue" button at the bottom right.  You will then be taken to a page to enter your personal information.   Make sure to use a valid email as you will be sent a verification email with the activation code.  If you are using hotmail or other free email accounts, check your junk mail folder, or better yet, add cabanova.com to your safe or trusted mail list.  Make sure to check the box that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions.  Click the "Continue" button on the bottom right.  You will then be taken to a page where you will need to enter the activation code.  (You can resend the activation code to a different email if you did not receive the activation code.)  Enter the activation code in the box and click the "Activate" button.

Building Your Free Flash Website

     You will then be at a page that you can work on the different settings of your website.  To work on the content of your web pages, scroll down and click "Edit web site".  You will then be able to choose a template and color selection.  In the left "Template Selection" column choose a design, and then in the middle choose a "Color Scheme" for that template.  Your choices will be reflected in the middle of the page.  When you find a combination you like, click the "Use This Design" button.  You will then see the flash animated version of your page selection.

Adding Text To Pages

     In the top toolbar click the  T (black T in white box) and a text box will appear on your page.  Type your text in the box.  You may click on the gray arrow to edit your text and add cool effects to your text.  You can also drag the text box around the page by pointing your mouse to the border of the text box, then holding your left mouse button down while you move the text box.  To resize the text, drag your mouse across the text while holding down your left mouse button and highlight it.  Then in the top toolbar you can choose the font and font size.  Resize the text boxes by holding your left mouse button down on the little white boxes in the text box border and drag the box bigger or smaller.  You may add as many text boxes as you would like.

Adding Photos And Images

     On the top toolbar click on the photo icon. (just right of the black T in the white box.)  A new window will appear.  You may choose from a good selection of images by browsing the column to the left or just click the "Upload" button.  An upload box will appear where you can browse your computer and then click the "Submit File" button.  After uploading, close the upload box and and you should see the name of your uploaded image.  Click on the image title and the image should appear.  To use that image, click the "Open" button below it.  You can now add cool image effects by clicking on the gray arrow and choosing "Image Effects".  You can also resize and rotate.  When you are done working on your page make sure to click the yellow "save all pages" icon in the top toolbar all the way to the left!

Adding Pages To Your Website

     You are provided 4 pages plus your home page. You can change the names of pages 1-4 by double clicking on the page title in the left column and typing in your desired title.  You cannot change the name of the "Home Page".  To add another page, just hold your left mouse button down in the left column over "New Page" and drag it up to the other pages.

Creating links

     You can turn any text into a link by highlighting it and clicking on the twin circles in the top toolbar.  You will need to choose between external link (link to another website) or link to another page within your website.  Choose "HTTP"  if you are linking to another web page and type in the entire URL address of the link.  Click the "OK" button.

Publishing Your Website

      If you are completely done working on your pages and have saved them by clicking the "save all pages" icon in the top left toolbar, make sure to "Publish" your website by clicking on "Publish" text link at the very top.  Next to "Publish Type" choose "Internal".  You can then choose if you want your pages a "Fixed Size" or "Fit in browser window". (I recommend "Fixed Size).  Then click the "Publish" button at the bottom.  You can then view your finished website.
